CHARLES REINKE EXTENDS STREAK TO 10 STRAIGHT
1st - Charles Reinke's run extended to 10 straight as he tied brother Thomas for the club's Top Expert spot, both players now with identical 76.7% winning records, and 46 wins each. For the 2nd week running, Charles double blanked Richard Lauder in their closing game match up, this time Charles winning 449-355. Charles had "only" 5 bingoes this week, but nonetheless averaged 442. He will have the elusive $5 bounty with him next week. Good luck trying for successful hunting against Charles's winning streak.
2nd - Thomas Reinke only had one sub 457 game, as he would only bingo late with the beautiful find ELENCHI on his penultimate play vs. a pesky defense minded Richard Lauder, a game Thomas did lose 355-387 on his way to a 3-1 +581 night and 2nd position. Charles was bingo king with 10 tonight.
3rd- Peter Schmiedicke continued to effulge with mega bingo games, this time a 9 bingo outing including a 9 letter HEFTINESS, GIRASOLE, TOPSIDER and DOGGERS, all resulting in a final 3-1 +321 3rd place finish.
SUE GOLDSTEIN TOPS FIVE INTERMEDIATES AT 3-1
1st - Veteran Sue Goldstein wove three straight wins before dropping her final game with June Scott in a tightly controlled 265-271 defensive battle. Sue pulled out a 3-1 +39 night and the top record in the Intermediates.
2nd - Harwinder Dowd took 2nd with a fine 2-1 +91 record, losing only her 3rd game when expert Helen Flores bested her 361-312. Harwinder searched in vain in that last game for a go ahead bingo play whilst her formidable opponent sealed Harwinder's "game coffin" with Helen's bingo HEARSES.
3rd - June Scott opened with a huge 385-331 refutation win against Helen Flores while on her eventual way to a 2-2 -31 3rd place finale.
A full table of treats was enjoyed with the overwhelming top treat being a wonderful box of very user friendly cookies courtesy of Aki and Sharlie. : )
Renato beat all opponents, his only loss to Peter in their rematch. Renato was also bingo king with 13 awesome bingos inlcuding the word of the week: TIRRIVEE--a tantrum. His other awesome bingos included HIDALGO, DASTARD, PRIMEROS, TRANSEPT, RIDOTTO and VESTIGIA.

CHARLES RUNS UP WINNING STREAK
1st - Charles Reinke's 5-0 +546 was the evening's outstanding performance. With his winning streak at six straight, he is closing the gap on the club's top player, brother Thomas. 2nd - Thomas Reinke finished at 3-1 +328, losing a nail biter 371-373 to Richard Lauder in his only sub 400 score of the night. Against Peter Schmiedicke, Thomas lay down the word of the night, MOTLEYER in his 471-365 game with Peter.
3rd - Susan Vergeront played 7 bingoes over her 4 games, with 3 of her games scoring over the elusive 400 point level to finish at 3rd at 3-1 +117. She had the misfortune to be facing Charles Reinke in a game when Charles bingoed four times. Susan watched LOOSENER, SIRVENTE, APERIENT and the all too appropriate NOSEDIVE...bingoes by Charles in his 528-331 score there.
SUE GOLDSTEIN TOPS TEENSY INTERMEDIATE FIELD
1st - Sue Goldstein traded bingos and blows with Barb Besadny in the opening round, eventually losing 339-405 despite her bingo TRAINERS, to finish the night at 2-2 +13 and in the top spot in the two-field Intermediate group.
2nd - June Scott's 1-3 -250 gave her the penultimate position. June and Sue enjoyed a 3-peat as they played each other and had many a friendly laugh along the way in games #2,#3 and #4.
