FULL QUORUM OF PLAYERS GATHERS AT HY-VEE

1st - Richard Lauder' 2-2 +137 narrowly topped Renati Umali similiar 2-2 -137 as they both enjoyed 4 games with the same opponent each time. Besides the same win-lose records, they also democratically shared the blanks during their head-to-head matches.

2nd - Renato Umali finished right behind the leader, while Richard Lauder was very lucky to finish just one place in front of the last place player. : )  A good time was had by all the players gathered together and at evening's end Renati was off to keep a date with Clementine.

THOMAS REINKE RUNS RAMPANT WITH THRE 500 GAMES

1st - Thomas Reinke set the scoring bar up there some when as he averaged 508+ on his way to a 4-0 +635 night to lead the small expert group of six.  Thomas's only threat came in his low game, a 435-390 win over brother Charles. His games were 534, 500, 565 and a "lowly" 435.

2nd - Chareles Reinke enjoyed a 3-1 +260 outing. highlighted with his own impressive 509-445 win vs. Richard Lauder. Charles played AMUSIVE, ANTHESIS, NAUSEATE, and CANINES in the 3rd highest combined score game so far this year.

3rd - Richard Lauder's 2-2 +47 just edged out Mary becker's 2-2 -45 to give the male contigent the top 3 spots this night.

SHARLIE MIURA WINS AND WINS AGAIN TO TAKE TOP SPOT

1st- Sharlie Miura's 2-0 +105 landed her atop the Intermediates, improving her year's winning percentage up to 64% with her unblemished showing. Sharlie opened with a 345-321 win vs. expert Helen Flores.

2nd - Sue Goldstein's 2-2 -159 neeted her 2nd place honors despite playing four games without a bingo to boost her scoring along her way.

3rd- Aki Miura's 1-1 +7 landed him in the 3rd spot this night. The Miura's will miss next week as they have a theater commitment that night.

Men on Top: Club Results 11/19

Testosterone triumphed on the scrabble board.

Richard Lauder, 1st place, 3 wins, high average of 444 and 9 bingos in 4 games, including the coolest word for sheep ever AOUDADS. 

Peter Schmiedicke, 2nd place, 3 wins, bingo king with 10 in 4 games, including BEDSORE, which is only a good thing to have when you are playing scrabble.

Renato Umali, 3rd place, 3 wins, 9 bingos in 4 games including the word of the week BIGEYES, the coolest word ever for a marine fish

The women faired less well
